A bill to amend 1946 (1st Ex Sess) PA 9, entitled
"An act to create the Michigan veterans' trust fund, and to
define who shall be eligible to receive assistance therefrom; to
provide for the disbursement of the income thereof and surplus
therein; to create a board of trustees, and to prescribe its
powers and duties; to provide for county and district committees,
and their powers, duties, and expenses; to prescribe penalties;
and to make appropriations to carry out the provisions of this
act,"
by amending sections 7 and 8 (MCL 35.607 and 35.608).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 7. Funds shall be distributed to the several county
2 treasurers by the auditor
general by warrant on
the state trea-
3 surer based on vouchers drawn by the board of trustees. The
4 funds so
distributed shall be credited by the
county treasurer
5 to a county veterans' trust fund
, and shall be
disbursed by
6 the county treasurer on vouchers drawn by the county clerk based
7 on orders filed by the county or district committee. Allocations

1 to district committees shall be distributed to the several county
2 treasurers of the counties composing
the district.
Said THE
3 veterans' trust fund shall be covered by the official bond of the
4 county treasurer.
5 Sec. 8. The several
county and district
committees shall
6 be governed by the rules and regulations of the state board of
7 trustees. The board of trustees, the
several
veteran county or
8 district committees, and the
several county
treasurers shall be
9 subject to audit by the
auditor general in the
same manner as
10 provided under the accounting laws
of the THIS
state for state
11 departments and counties.
