A bill to amend 1897 PA 263, entitled
"An act to authorize the auditor general to accept payment of
taxes and charges from the owner of any description of land held
by the state as state tax lands,"
by amending section 1 (MCL 211.541).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 1. Whenever
IF any person, firm, or
corporation,
2 owning or claiming to own 1 or more government subdivisions of
3 land or 1 or more lots or blocks included within the limits of
4 any township, village, or city plat included in the assessment
5 with other government subdivisions of land or with other lots or
6 blocks upon the tax roll,
shall make MAKES an
affidavit, or
7 cause said
CAUSES AN affidavit to be made by any
person having
8 knowledge of the facts, to the
auditor general
STATE TREASURER,
9 setting forth that the said
person, firm, or
corporation owns
10 at the time of making
said THE affidavit the
said government

1 subdivision of land or
said THE lot, lots, or
blocks and that
2 the same has
GOVERNMENT SUBDIVISION OR LOT, LOTS,
OR BLOCKS
3 HAVE been included upon the
assessment roll and
has HAVE been
4 sold and is
ARE held as state tax land with other
government
5 subdivisions of land or with other lots or blocks and that the
6 said affiant
is desirous of paying SEEKS TO PAY
all the taxes
7 assessed against said
THE land, and upon tender
by such THE
8 person, firm, or corporation to the
auditor
general STATE
9 TREASURER, the proportionate amount of taxes, interest, and
10 charges accrued against
said THAT description of
land as
11 appearing by the tax lists and
records at the time
said THE
12 tender or payment and affidavit is
made, it shall
be the duty
13 of the
auditor general STATE TREASURER SHALL,
upon payment,
14 to issue to
such THAT person, firm, or
corporation, as
15 aforesaid, a
deed of the description or
descriptions of land
16 described in such
