Complete to 11-4-03
A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5237 AS INTRODUCED 11-4-03
The Urban Cooperation Act provides for a surcharge on households within a county of up to a maximum of $2 per month or $25 per year per household for waste reduction programs, and for the collection of consumer source separated materials for recycling, and composting. House Bill 5237 would amend the Urban Cooperation Act to define the term “household.” Under the bill, “household” would mean any residence within the county, but would not include vacant property.
