conducted during FY 2003-04 shall have the goal of maintaining a statewide trooper strength of at
least 1,075 rather than a graduation of at least 110 new troopers as in the Senate version. The
House also added language stating legislative intent to statutorily transfer $5.0 million from the auto
theft prevention fund to achieve the trooper strength goal. (Sec. 222) </p>
