SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 4984

                                                                             A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled                                             

"The code of criminal procedure,"                                           

by amending section 13p of chapter XVII (MCL 777.13p), as amended           

by 2002 PA 475.                                                             

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

1                              CHAPTER XVII                                     

2       Sec. 13p.  This chapter applies to the following felonies                   

3   enumerated in chapters 338 to 399 of the Michigan Compiled Laws:

11      Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take                      

12  effect unless House Bill No. 4983 of the 92nd Legislature is                

13  enacted into law.                                                           

14      Enacting section 2.  This amendatory act takes effect                       

15  October 1, 2004.
