A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 620.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 620. (1) At least quarterly, an intermediate school
2 district shall submit all of the following information to the
3 department in the form and manner prescribed by the department:
4 (a) A detailed description of all air travel paid for by
5 intermediate school district funds during the quarter, including
6 at least the dates of the travel, the names and positions of each
7 individual traveling, the destination, the purpose for the
8 travel, and the cost of the airfare.
9 (b) For all conference or other training expenses paid for by
10 intermediate school district funds that required overnight
11 lodging, a detailed description of the conference or training,
1 including at least the dates of the conference or training, the
2 names and positions of each individual participating using
3 intermediate school district funds, the location of the
4 conference or training and identity of the lodging provider, a
5 description of the purpose and content of the conference or
6 training, the session hours for the conference or training, and
7 the total cost of the conference or training, including
8 registration fees, lodging, meals, and any other costs.
9 (c) A detailed description of all contracts entered into by
10 the intermediate school district that includes at least all of
11 the following:
12 (i) The subject matter and cost of the contract.
13 (ii) Whether or not the contract was competitively bid.
14 (iii) Whether or not any person with a monetary interest in
15 the contract is related in any way to an intermediate school
16 board member or to a school administrator employed by the
17 intermediate school district.
18 (iv) The names and positions of each individual who approved
19 the contract on behalf of the intermediate school district.
20 (2) The department shall post the information received under
21 subsection (1) on its website.
