A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1138.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 1138. If a person seeks to pick up a child from school
2 during the school day and the school employee or official in
3 charge of the child does not recognize the person as a person
4 authorized to pick up the child, the school employee or official
5 in charge of the child shall require the person to supply a
6 picture identification and to sign a dated pupil release form
7 before releasing the child to the person.
