A bill to provide for continued fringe benefits and wages
for certain officers and employees of the state of Michigan who
are called into active duty with the military or other armed
service of the United States government.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 1. (1) A reservist of the armed forces of the United
2 States who, while an officer or employee of this state, is
3 commissioned into active duty with the military or other armed
4 service of the United States government shall be entitled to
5 continued health insurance coverage through the state during the
6 period of his or her active service.
7 (2) During the period of active service, the state shall
8 continue to compensate the employee or officer as if he or she
9 had remained at work less any money and allowances received for
10 his or her services in the military or other armed service of the
