A bill to amend 1943 PA 183, entitled
"County zoning act,"
by amending section 27a (MCL 125.227a).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 27a. (1) A zoning ordinance or zoning decision shall
2 not have the effect of totally prohibiting the establishment of a
3 land use within a county in the presence of a demonstrated need
4 for that land use within either the county or surrounding area
5 within the state, unless there is no location within the county
6 where the use may be appropriately located, or unless the use is
7 unlawful.
8 (2) A county shall not be required to have more than 20% of
9 the county's dwelling units located within mobile home parks.
10 Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take
11 effect unless all of the following bills of the 92nd Legislature
1 are enacted into law:
2 (a) Senate Bill No. 138.
