A bill to designate the third Friday in September as
Michigan manufacturing day in the state of Michigan.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 1. In recognition of the importance of manufacturing
2 to the development of the state and its economy, the legislature
3 declares that the third Friday in September shall be known as
4 "Michigan Manufacturing Day".
5 Sec. 2. To celebrate that day, the legislature encourages
6 manufacturers to open their plants and facilities to young
7 people, teachers, and parents and encourages visits to
8 manufacturing plants and facilities to foster knowledge and
9 appreciation of the historic, scientific, economic, and cultural
10 significance of manufacturing in Michigan.
