A bill to amend 1943 PA 183, entitled
"County zoning act,"
(MCL 125.201 to 125.240) by adding section 1b.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 1b. (1) A zoning ordinance adopted under this act that
2 applies to or affects amateur radio antennae shall provide
3 reasonable accommodation for the operation and development of
4 amateur radio communications.
5 (2) A zoning ordinance adopted under this act that applies to
6 or affects amateur radio antennae shall comply with all rules and
7 regulations of the federal communications commission and place no
8 greater restrictions on the placement and construction of amateur
9 radio antennae that is necessary to accomplish the county's
10 legitimate regulatory purpose.
