AN ACT to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "An act to revise, consolidate, codify and add to the statutes relating to crimes; to define crimes and prescribe the penalties therefor; to provide for restitution under certain circumstances; to provide for the competency of evidence at the trial of persons accused of crime; to provide immunity from prosecution for certain witnesses appearing at such trials; and to repeal certain acts and parts of acts inconsistent with or contravening any of the provisions of this act," by amending sections 315a and 376a (MCL 750.315a and 750.376a), as added by 1982 PA 395.
The People of the State of Michigan enact:
Sec. 315a. This chapter does not apply to a savings promotion raffle conducted by a domestic credit union pursuant to section 411 of the credit union act or to a savings promotion raffle conducted by a federally chartered credit union, a state or nationally chartered bank, or a state or federally chartered savings and loan association that is conducted in the same manner as a raffle conducted by a domestic credit union under section 411 of the credit union act.
Sec. 376a. This chapter shall not apply to a savings promotion raffle conducted by a domestic credit union pursuant to section 411 of the credit union act or to a savings promotion raffle conducted by a federally chartered credit union, a state or nationally chartered bank, or a state or federally chartered savings and loan association that is conducted in the same manner as a raffle conducted by a domestic credit union under section 411 of the credit union act.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No. 496 of the 92nd Legislature is enacted into law.
This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
