            House Resolution No. 137.

            A resolution honoring Bronson Healthcare Group, Inc. of Kalamazoo upon its designation as one of the best 100 companies nationally for working mothers.

            Whereas, It is with great pride for its accomplishment that we are pleased to offer congratulations to Bronson Healthcare Group, Inc.upon its designation as one of the best 100 companies nationally for working mothers. We are pleased to have this opportunity to praise and acknowledge the outstanding efforts of the Bronson Healthcare Group, Inc. in ensuring that the needs of working mothers receive top priority; and

            Whereas, Working Mother magazine was founded in 1979and has just completed its 18^th annual list of “100 Best companies for Working Mothers.”  It is the only national magazine for career-committed mothers and its annual company ratings are recognized as the standard in the corporate world; and

            Whereas, Companies have realized the need to provide adequate work/life benefits to reduce stress and keep employees healthy. These benefits have steadily increased in recent years. Today, working mothers enjoy options which include fitness programs, counseling, after-school, holiday and emergency care for children and elderly parents; and

            Whereas, The primary issues considered by Working Mother for this year’s list included flexible scheduling, advancement of women and child-care options.  It is a proud Kalamazoo community which can boast of having one of only three Michigan companies and one of 100 companies nationally cited for its forward-thinking policies to protect our families and strengthen our communities; and

            Whereas, The Bronson Healthcare Group, Inc. has a proud legacy of excellence and quality service within the Kalamazoo community and has now achieved national recognition for its dedication to improving the quality of life for its employees; now, therefore, be it

            Resolved by the House of Representatives, That the members of this legislative body commend and congratulate Bronson Healthcare Group, Inc. of Kalamazoo on its receipt of this prestigious honor.  May the future bring continued success and satisfaction; and be it further

            Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to Bronson Healthcare Group, Inc. as a token of our esteem.
