A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5346 AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE 11-1-05

The Apiary Law, Public Act 412 of 1976, provides the Department of Agriculture with certain responsibilities regarding the control or eradication of certain bee diseases and exotic strains of bees.  The bill would repeal the department's rule-making authority under the act.

The bill would have no apparent fiscal impact on the state or local governmental units.
