A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5960 AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE
The bill would amend the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act to allow townships to regulate activities at public boating sites owned by the Department of Natural Resources and located on an inland lake or stream. The local regulation would be by ordinance, and the local ordinance could not exceed the scope of applicable rules promulgated or orders issued by the DNR.
