Changes from FY 2005-06 Year-to-Date:
  1. Emerald Ash Borer. The Governor reduced funding to reflect the amount of expected Federal resources available to Michigan for this program. (10,000,000)
2. Administrative Savings. The Governor included efficiency savings in the Management Services line item associated with finance and human resource operations. (100,000)
3. Local Conservation Districts. The Governor reduced the base grant by 5% to $18,200. (75,800)
4. Statistical Reporting Service. The Governor reduced funding for the annual agricultural survey conducted by the Michigan Agricultural Statistics Service. (35,000)
5. HR Optimization. The Governor reduced funding and one position associated with statewide human resource consolidation. (72,400)
6. Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program. The Governor included new funding for the administrative costs of the program. Previously, these costs were covered by a prior-year appropriation which has been spent. 350,000
7. Horse Racing Audits. The Governor transferred funding for annual track audits from the Department of Treasury to the Office of Racing Commissioner. 240,000
8. Migrant Labor Housing Inspections. The Governor included new Federal funding to support the costs of migrant labor housing inspections. 150,000
9. Emerging Disease and Emergency Management. The Governor included new Federal funding in the Animal Industry Program to identify and respond to emerging diseases. 57,600
10. Funding Adjustments. The Governor reduced State and Federal restricted revenue spending authority to reflect anticipated revenue. (463,600)
11. Funding Shifts. The Governor replaced restricted revenue in the Food and Dairy Program with GF/GP ($500,000) and replaced GF/GP in the Agriculture Development Division with private revenue from commodity groups ($40,000). 0
