A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4721 AS INTRODUCED 5-8-07

The bill would amend Section 20129a of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act to retain the current $750 fee that must accompany a petition filed with the Department of Environmental Quality for an exemption from liability under Section 20126(1)(c) in connection with a baseline environmental assessment.  The fee is currently set to expire on June 5, 2007. 

FISCAL IMPACT:

This is a continuation of current policy that would allow the baseline environmental assessment program to continue.  It would not increase state revenue.
