A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5338 AS INTRODUCED 10-23-07

The bill would amend the Michigan Telecommunications Act to allow a wireless telecommunication service subscriber (cell phone user) who is called into active duty in the armed forces to cancel, without penalty, any contract with the wireless communication provider.  The subscriber, however, would remain responsible for any use charges incurred before termination.
