CONTENT
The bill would amend Chapter IX (Judgment and Sentence) of the Code of Criminal Procedure to change a citation to the definition of "listed offense" in the Sex Offenders Registration Act (SORA).


In a provision of Chapter IX dealing with a court's determination of whether a defendant's offense constitutes a sexual offense against an individual under 18 years of age, the Code refers to a listed offense as defined in Section 2(d) of SORA, but "listed offense" is defined in Section 2(e) of that Act. The bill would replace the current citation in Chapter IX with a reference to Section 2(e).
