CONTENT
The bill would amend the Revised Judicature Act to require the transfer of $2.25 million of the unencumbered balance in the Juror Compensation Fund to the State's General Fund at the end of fiscal year 2007-08. Currently, any unencumbered balance remains in the Juror Compensation Fund and does not revert to the General Fund.

FISCAL IMPACT
The bill would enact a portion of the FY 2007-08 budget agreement. There is $2.25 million in the Juror Compensation Fund that has not been encumbered or appropriated. General Fund estimates for FY 2007-08 and FY 2008-09 have assumed that this transfer will be enacted.
