A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled
"Michigan vehicle code,"
(MCL 257.1 to 257.923) by adding section 307c.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 307c. (1) Any license issued under this act that
authorizes the licensee to operate a motor vehicle, or any
supplement issued in conjunction with any of those licenses, shall
not contain either of the following:
(a) A radio frequency identification device.
(b) Any other device capable of having stored information read
by a remote receiver, if the device and remote receiver can share
information when they do not have a clear line of sight between
them.
(2) As used in this section, "radio frequency identification
device" means an electronic device that stores information and is
designed to transmit that information by means of radio waves to a
receiver.
