A bill to amend 1991 PA 179, entitled
"Michigan telecommunications act,"
(MCL 484.2101 to 484.2604) by adding section 304c.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 304c. (1) A wireless telecommunications service
subscriber who is called into active duty in the armed forces shall
be allowed, without penalty, to cancel any contract with the
wireless telecommunications provider. The subscriber remains
responsible for any use charges incurred before termination.
(2) As used in this section, "armed forces" means any military
force designated by law as a part of the armed forces of the United
States or this state.
