     A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled

 

"The code of criminal procedure,"

 

by amending section 1d of chapter IV (MCL 764.1d), as added by 1980

 

PA 506.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

CHAPTER IV

 

     Sec. 1d. A complaint shall recite the substance of the

 

accusation against the accused. The complaint may contain factual

 

allegations establishing reasonable cause. In the case of a

 

complaint alleging a crime of child abuse, criminal sexual conduct,

 

sexual assault or molestation, or similar crime, in which 1 or more

 

victims are less than 18 years of age, the name and address of that

 

victim or those victims may be omitted from the complaint.

 


     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

 

unless House Bill No. 5557 of the 94th Legislature is enacted into

 

law.
