A resolution commemorating April 6-12, 2008, as Land Surveyors Week in the state of Michigan
Whereas, Surveyors are professionals dealing with people and situations protecting the residents of the state of Michigan; and
Whereas, The role of the surveyor has been, and remains vitally important in the development of the United States; and
Whereas, Surveyors are specialists in land measurements with the knowledge, understanding, and application of mathematics and relevant law relating to the use and development of land, which is instrumental to economic growth in the state of Michigan; and
Whereas, Surveyors provide information for the implementation through the completion of commercial, industrial, and residential projects, which provide for prosperity throughout the state of Michigan; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, That the members of this legislative body commemorate April 6-12, 2008, as Land Surveyors Week in the state of Michigan.
