The Speaker, on behalf of the entire membership of the House of Representatives, offered the following resolution:

            House Resolution No. 465.

            A resolution to tribute for the Honorable Frank Accavitti.

            Whereas, The members of this legislative body hereby extend highest praise and commendation to Representative Frank Accavitti as he concludes his final term with the Michigan House of Representatives. A lawmaker of eminent stature, Representative Accavitti has had a profound and abiding impact upon the state of Michigan; and

            Whereas, Representative Accavitti has had a long and notable career in governmental and community service. He served Eastpointe as planning commissioner, city councilman, and mayor. Representative Accavitti has made a positive contribution in numerous community organizations, including the Eastpointe  Lions Club,  the Eastpointe Historical Society, the Friends  of the Roseville Library, and the Eastpointe Community Chest; and

            Whereas, Representative Accavitti, a former owner of a retail appliance store, began his career in the House of Representatives in 2003, and since that time he has consistently worked to benefit his constituents and all the people of Michigan. His success in this great responsibility has been such that he has earned the respect of his colleagues and his constituents. In doing so, he has served as chair of the Energy and Technology Committee as well as  serving on the committees on Families and Children's  Services, Transportation, Commerce, Local Government and Urban Policy, and Outdoor Recreation; now, therefore, be it

            Resolved by the House of Representatives, That the highest praise and commendation be accorded to the Honorable Frank Accavitti in recognition of his excellent work for the people of Michigan; and be it further

            Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Honorable Frank Accavitti as evidence of the esteem in which he is held by his colleagues.
