CONTENT

Employee concessions were part of the legislative agreement on the FY 2009-10 budget. Senate Bill 797 (S-1) includes negative appropriations to reflect savings from banked leave time, furlough days, and the elimination of pre-shift meetings. The following table lists reductions by department/area:

FISCAL IMPACT

The bill would reduce FY 2009-10 appropriations by $46.6 million Gross and $23.4 GF/GP. Additional savings from the lapse of professional development funds ($2.3 million GF/GP) and the impact of the new State Health Plan for new hires (effective 4-1-10) are not reflected in the bill.
