CONTENT House Bill 5622 (H-2) would amend the Emergency 9-1-1 Service Enabling Act to allow for a one-time distribution, in FY 2010-11, of up to $1.7 million from the Emergency 9-1-1 Fund to the Department of State Police for an integrated internet protocol-based 9-1-1 mapping system in the State. The funds are to provide the State's matching funds for a grant under the Federal ENHANCE 9-1-1 Act
House bill 6153 (H-1) would appropriate to the Information Technology Services and Projects line item of the Department of State Police's FY 2010-11 budget a total of $3.4 million. These funds would represent the cost of a project to create an integrated internet protocol-based 9-1-1 mapping system for use by all public safety answering points (PSAPs) in the State. The project is made possible in part by a grant program under the Federal 9-1-1 ENHANCE Act. The appropriation includes $1.7 million in Federal funds and a required match of $1.7 million in State restricted funds.

FISCAL IMPACT
House Bill 6153 (H-1) would appropriate $1.7 million in available carry-forward revenue from the Emergency 9-1-1 Fund, leaving a projected balance of $70,000.
