SENATE BILL No. 524

     A bill to amend 1998 PA 409, entitled

"Michigan freedom trail commission act,"

by amending section 2 (MCL 399.82), as amended by 2001 PA 79.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

     Sec. 2. As used in this act:

     (a) "Department" means the department of history, arts, and

libraries state.

     (b) "Michigan freedom trail commission" or "commission" means

the Michigan freedom trail commission created in section 3.

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

unless Senate Bill No. 503                                         

          of the 95th Legislature is enacted into law.
