     A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled

 

"Michigan election law,"

 

(MCL 168.1 to 168.992) by adding section 932d.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 932d. (1) A person shall not knowingly submit a

 

fraudulent or forged voter registration application to the

 

secretary of state or a county, city, township, or village clerk. A

 

person who violates this section is guilty of a felony punishable

 

by imprisonment for not more than 5 years or a fine of not more

 

than $5,000.00, or both.

 

     (2) As used in this section, "person" means a business,

 

individual, proprietorship, firm, partnership, joint venture,

 

syndicate, business trust, labor organization, company,

 

corporation, association, committee, or any other organization or

 


group of persons acting jointly.
