SUBSTITUTE FOR

SENATE BILL NO. 1482

     A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 80164a.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

     Sec. 80164a. The requirements for having a personal flotation

device and a throwable flotation device in a vessel do not apply to

a person in a racing shell or rowing scull.
