A bill to amend 1976 PA 388, entitled
"Michigan campaign finance act,"
(MCL 169.201 to 169.282) by adding section 35a.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 35a. If a candidate, treasurer, or other individual
designated as responsible for the record keeping, report
preparation, or report filing for a committee has not filed or paid
all statements, reports, late filing fees, and fines required by
this act and those statements, reports, late filing fees, or fines
remain unfiled or unpaid for more than 12 months, that individual
is not eligible to serve as a treasurer or designated individual
for a committee in this state or form a new committee until those
statements, reports, late filing fees, or fines have been filed or
paid.
