A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1279h.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1279h. If the department receives a pupil's completed
state assessment instrument for scoring after a deadline set by the
department, the department shall score the assessment and return
the results to the pupil and to the pupil's school or school
district regardless of whether the results are counted or used by
the department for any purpose. This section applies to Michigan
education assessment program (MEAP) assessments, the Michigan merit
examination under section 1279g, or any other assessment
administered statewide by or on behalf of the department.
