A bill to amend 1972 PA 239, entitled
"McCauley-Traxler-Law-Bowman-McNeely lottery act,"
(MCL 432.1 to 432.47) by adding section 24.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 24. (1) A person licensed as a lottery sales agent under
this act shall post the following information for each lottery game
for which the agent sells tickets or shares:
(a) The odds of winning a prize. If the game has multiple
odds, the agent shall post all of the odds for the game.
(b) The implicit tax rate for the game.
(2) A lottery sales agent shall post the information required
to be posted under this section conspicuously in 10-point or larger
type at the location where the tickets or shares are sold.
(3) The bureau shall make available to licensed lottery sales
agents posters that satisfy the requirements of this section. A
lottery sales agent may satisfy the requirements of this section by
posting the posters supplied by the bureau.
(4) As used in this section, "implicit tax rate" means the
percentage of the money from the sales of tickets or shares that
will not be apportioned for prizes.
