AN ACT to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled “An act to protect the environment and natural resources of the state; to codify, revise, consolidate, and classify laws relating to the environment and natural resources of the state; to regulate the discharge of certain substances into the environment; to regulate the use of certain lands, waters, and other natural resources of the state; to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state and local agencies and officials; to provide for certain charges, fees, assessments, and donations; to provide certain appropriations; to prescribe penalties and provide remedies; and to repeal acts and parts of acts,” by repealing part 205 (MCL 324.20501 to 324.20519).

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

Enacting section 1. Sections 20501, 20503, 20505, 20507, 20511, 20513, 20515, 20517, and 20519 of the natural resources and environmental protection act, 1994 PA 451, MCL 324.20501, 324.20503, 324.20505, 324.20507, 324.20511, 324.20513, 324.20515, 324.20517, and 324.20519, are repealed.

Enacting section 2. (1) The heading of part 205 and section 20509 of the natural resources and environmental protection act, 1994 PA 451, MCL 324.20509, are repealed effective 120 days after the effective date of this act.

(2) Upon the repeal of section 20509 of the natural resources and environmental protection act, 1994 PA 451, MCL 324.20509, the state treasurer shall transfer any money in the laboratory data quality recognition program fund created by that section to the general fund.

This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
