A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4888 AS ENROLLED

The bill amended the Michigan Memorial Highway Act to designate the bridge on Highway US-141 over the Menominee River in Dickinson County between Breitung Township and the city of Niagara in Wisconsin as the "Veterans Memorial Bridge."  The bill adds a new Section 73

MCL 250.2073

FISCAL IMPACT:

Section 2 of the Michigan Memorial Highway Act indicates that the State Transportation Department shall only provide for the erection of suitable markers indicating the name of the highway "when sufficient private contributions are received to completely cover the cost of erecting and maintaining those markers."  As a result, the bill has no state or local fiscal impact.
