A bill to amend 1895 PA 3, entitled
"The general law village act,"
(MCL 61.1 to 74.25) by adding section 1d to chapter I.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
CHAPTER I
Sec. 1d. Beginning on the effective date of the amendatory act
that added this section, a village shall not adopt a village
charter, ordinance, or resolution that includes any minimum
staffing requirement for village employees. Any provision in a
village charter, ordinance, or resolution adopted on or after the
effective date of the amendatory act that added this section that
contains a minimum staffing requirement for village employees is
void and unenforceable.
