A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4761 AS INTRODUCED 5-22-13

The Management and Budget Act says that it must be "the goal" of the Department of Technology, Management and Budget to award each year not less than 5% of its total expenditures for construction, goods, and services to qualified disabled veterans. 

House Bill 4761 would amend the act to require the department each year to award no less than 5% of its total expenditures for construction, goods, and services to qualified disabled veterans.  References to "the goal" would be struck. The bill would delete provisions that require the department to report to the Legislature on its progress in meeting the goal.
