A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5715 AS INTRODUCED 7-30-14

The bill would amend the Michigan Memorial Highway Act to designate the bridge on M-64 over the Ontonagon River in Ontonagon Township as the “Ontonagon County Veterans Memorial Bridge.”

MCL 250.1001 et al.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Section 2 of the Michigan Memorial Highway Act indicates that the State Transportation Department shall only provide for the erection of suitable markers indicating the name of the highway "when sufficient private contributions are received to completely cover the cost of erection and maintaining the markers."  As a result, the bill has no state or local fiscal impact.
