CONTENT

The bill would amend the Insurance Code to replace references to the Office of Financial and Insurance Services and the Commissioner of the Office of Financial Services, with references to the Department of Insurance and Financial Services and the Director of the Department, respectively.

(The Office of Financial and Insurance Services was created by Executive Order 2000-4, and was renamed the Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation (OFIR) under Executive Order 2008-2. The Department of Insurance and Financial Services was created under Executive Order 2013-1. That Order abolished OFIR, and the Office of Commissioner of OFIR, and transferred the powers, functions, duties, and responsibilities to the Department.)
