HOUSE BILL No. 5485

     A bill to amend 1969 PA 317, entitled

"Worker's disability compensation act of 1969,"

by amending section 553 (MCL 418.553).

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

     Sec. 553. The self-insurers' security fund or the private

employer group self-insurers security fund, after paying an injured

employee, shall have all the rights of the injured employee as a

creditor of the insolvent employer to the extent of benefits it

paid. The trustees of the fund shall have the right and obligation

to obtain reimbursement to the fund from an insolvent employer for

any funds paid out as benefits to the employees of the insolvent

employer, including expenses pertinent to payments or recovery

thereof.

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

unless all of the following bills of the 97th Legislature are

enacted into law:

     (a) Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5478 (request no.

     (c) Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5483 (request no.
