PLUMBING FEES
House Bill 6051 as introduced
Sponsor: Rep. Aric Nesbitt
Committee: Regulatory Reform
Complete to 11-30-16
SUMMARY:
House Bill 6051 would amend Sections 23 and 31 of the State Plumbing Act by adding language stating that a master plumber who is also a plumbing contractor is only responsible for payment of the initial or renewal fee for a plumbing contractor and is not responsible for also paying the initial or renewal fee for a master plumber.
Presently, the provision says that "A master plumber who is also a plumbing contractor is only liable for payment of the plumbing contractor license fee."
[NOTE: Senate Bill 963, which is also pending at this time, would repeal the State Plumbing Act, among other acts, and incorporate many of its present provisions into a new act. Unless the change proposed by HB 6051 is also incorporated into SB 963, it would be repealed upon the enactment of SB 963
