CONTENT

 

The bill would amend the domestic violence prevention and treatment Act to specify that, as used in the Act, "department" means the Department of Health and Human Services. Currently, the definition of "department" refers to the former Family Independence Agency.

 

(The Act provides for the creation and operation of the domestic violence prevention and treatment board within the Department.)

 

The bill would take effect 90 days after its enactment.
