SENATE BILL No. 492

     A bill to amend 1974 PA 269, entitled

 

"Franchise investment law,"

 

(MCL 445.1501 to 445.1546) by adding section 4b.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 4b. To the extent allocation of employer responsibilities

 

between the franchisor and franchisee is permitted by law, the

 

franchisee shall be considered the sole employer of workers for

 

whom it provides a benefit plan or pays wages except as otherwise

 

specifically provided in the franchise agreement.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
