SUMMARY:

The bill would amend Public Act 389 of 1978, an act that deals with the prevention and treatment of domestic violence, to remove references to the Family Independence Agency within the act and replace them with references to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). 

(The Michigan Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention and Treatment Board is housed within the DHHS.)
