DISABILITY PARKING PERMIT
PLACARD INFORMATION
House Bill 4574 as introduced
Sponsor: Rep. Daire Rendon
Committee: Transportation and Infrastructure
Complete to 9-25-17
SUMMARY:
Currently, under the Michigan Vehicle Code a windshield placard issued to a disabled person must bear the first letter and the last 3 digits of his or her driver's or chauffeur's license number or the first letter and last 4 digits of the number of his or her official state personal identification card.
House Bill 4574 would amend the Code to revise the windshield placard identification requirement for a disabled person with a state personal identification card to mirror that of a placard for someone with a driver's or chauffeur's license, to include the first letter and the last 3 digits of the number, instead of 4.
MCL 257.675
FISCAL IMPACT:
The bill would have no fiscal impact to the state or local units of government.
