The State Construction Code Commission is an advisory body created to improve the quality of housing for Michigan residents while assisting the housing industry. The Commission consists of 17 members, including a designee of the chairpersons of the State Plumbing Board, the Board of Mechanical Rules, the Electrical Administrative Board, and the Barrier Free Design Board; Michigan residents representing certain professions and industries; and the State Fire Marshal or an employee of the Bureau of Fire Service designated by the State Fire Marshal.
