A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled

"Michigan vehicle code,"

(MCL 257.1 to 257.923) by adding section 811gg.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 811gg. (1) The secretary of state shall develop under section 811e and issue under section 811f a fund-raising plate recognizing the public schools of this state. The secretary of state shall design the fund-raising plates authorized in this section. The fund-raising plates shall contain the phrase "I Support Public Schools".

(2) The secretary of state shall transfer the donation money from the sale of fund-raising plates recognizing the public schools of this state to the state treasurer, who shall deposit the money on a quarterly basis to the state school aid fund established by section 11 of article IX of the state constitution of 1963.

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days after the date it is enacted into law.
