A bill to amend 1974 PA 163, entitled

"C.J.I.S. policy council act,"

(MCL 28.211 to 28.215) by adding section 2a.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 2a. Not later than 6 months after the list is submitted under this section, the governor shall appoint an additional member to the criminal justice information systems board created by Executive Order No. 2011-7. The additional member appointed under this section must be selected from a list of 3 names submitted to the governor by the Consumer Data Industry Association. A member appointed under this section serves for a term of 4 years and may be reappointed. A vacancy on the criminal justice information systems board of a member that was appointed under this section must be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.
