A bill to amend 2016 PA 560, entitled

"Michigan veterans' facility authority act,"

(MCL 36.101 to 36.112) by adding section 6a.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 6a. The authority shall conduct sampling, analysis, and remediation of lead contamination in drinking water taps and other sources of drinking water used for human consumption at a veterans' facility. The sampling, analysis, and remediation required under this section shall be conducted in the same manner required for adult foster care facilities, child care centers, hospitals, nursing homes, and schools under section 7a of the safe drinking water act, 1976 PA 399, MCL 325.1007a.

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No.____ (request no. 01556'19) of the 100th Legislature is enacted into law.
