This bill would amend the Limousine, Taxicab, and Transportation Network Company Act to extend a sunset date, from March 21, 2023, to September 30, 2027. The extension would maintain the variable renewal fees established under Public Act 345 of 2016, which eliminated the flat $50 fee that existed previously. FISCAL IMPACT
This bill would have a positive fiscal impact on the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. Extending the sunset for these fees is expected to result in a $281,400 increase in revenue for the Department. If the bill were not enacted, the fee would revert to the $50 flat rate, and the Department would not see this increased revenue.
